Exotic Fruit Tree Nursery - Our Story
Hello from the Harris family! Back in 2021, we acquired this beautiful 3-acre property in South Florida. It started as a house surrounded by grass and nearly devoid of trees. Our vision was to transform it into a tropical food forest where our children can grow and nurture a diverse range of plants. We rolled up our sleeves and got to work, exploring the state for a variety of exotic fruiting and medicinal plants. Through much experimentation (and tasting!), we have created the vibrant tropical farm you see today!
Our Nursery
In 2023, we proudly opened our edible and medicinal nursery to the public. Every plant we offer is tried and true, specifically selected for South Florida gardening. We’ve done the work for you! Our firsthand experience has shown us which plants thrive in the South Florida landscape, as we’ve planted them and taken plenty of notes along the way. We sell only the strongest cultivars and disease-resistant, often grafted varieties that are perfect for creating your own tropical food forest. Whether you’re tending to a small patio garden or cultivating a whole yard farm, we have the right plants to help you succeed, no matter your gardening experience.
Our Mission
We seek to honor the Lord with the first fruits of our life, including the actual fruits of our labor in South Florida gardening. People are always amazed when they see our tropical food forest and learn that every tree has been planted within the past few years. We believe biblical principles apply to all areas of life, especially in gardening. We sow, another waters, but God gives the increase. We hope to share the lessons we've gathered in our garden, including insights on medicinal plants, with our community and beyond.
